2. About these Terms
These Terms of Use govern access to Reactive Dog Stays, its directory content, provider submission services, and paid provider options. By using the site or purchasing a provider service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or buy a service.
3. What Reactive Dog Stays provides
Reactive Dog Stays is an independent directory that helps owners research private boarding and in-home overnight sitting that may be relevant to reactive, anxious, fearful, or selective dogs. We provide information and research tools only. We are not a veterinary service, behavior professional, trainer, boarding facility, sitter, marketplace, booking agent, insurer, or emergency service.
A listing is not a recommendation, guarantee, certification, or endorsement. A provider's presence, position, paid placement, or verification status does not guarantee that the provider is appropriate, available, licensed, insured, safe, or suitable for your dog.
4. Safety and owner responsibility
You are responsible for checking a provider directly before making any arrangement. Discuss your dog's behavior, triggers, handling needs, medical needs, medication, bite history, escape risk, and emergency plan honestly with the provider. Confirm credentials, insurance, licences, facilities, staffing, supervision, separation practices, transport, cancellation terms, and emergency procedures where relevant.
Behavioral-suitability information appears only when it was stated on the provider's own website with a check date or confirmed by the provider by email with a confirmation date. Even then, policies and capacity can change. Contact the provider and obtain current written confirmation before relying on any listing detail.
If a person or animal may be in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service or veterinary professional.
5. Provider relationships
Any enquiry, assessment, booking, payment, contract, care decision, dispute, injury, loss, or other interaction with a listed provider is solely between you and that provider. Reactive Dog Stays is not a party to that relationship and does not control a provider's services, staff, facilities, availability, statements, or conduct.
6. Accuracy, corrections, and removals
We work to keep the directory useful, but information may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Unknown information is left unknown rather than guessed.
Providers and users may request a correction or removal by emailing hello@reactivedogstays.com. We may ask for reasonable evidence before changing a safety-relevant claim. Correction and removal requests are handled without charge.
7. Provider services and prices
A basic provider profile is free.
Priority Review costs USD 29 as a one-time payment. It provides priority handling with a target of three business days, one correction round, and email-only status updates. The delivery time is a target, not a guarantee.
Premium costs USD 49 per month. It includes an expanded profile, quote-request access, a quarterly local-demand summary, and clearly labelled paid placement.
Founding Sponsor costs USD 99 per month and includes one clearly labelled site-wide sponsor placement.
Payment never buys verification, approval, evidence, a positive review outcome, leads, traffic, safety claims, or organic ranking. Paid placement is labelled and remains separate from organic results.
8. Billing, cancellation, failed payments, and refunds
Payments are processed in US dollars through Stripe. Reactive Dog Stays does not receive or store full payment-card details.
Priority Review can be cancelled for a full refund before work starts. We will also provide a full refund if we cannot complete the review within 10 business days. After delivery, Priority Review is not refundable except for a duplicate charge, service error, a right required by law, or another case expressly accepted by us.
Premium and Founding Sponsor subscriptions renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal or by emailing hello@reactivedogstays.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and access continues until that date. We do not provide prorated refunds for a billing period already started except for a duplicate charge, service error, a right required by law, or another case expressly accepted by us.
If a cancellation email is received before renewal but processed after renewal, that renewal will be refunded.
For a failed recurring payment, Stripe may notify you and retry the payment up to three times over seven days. Paid benefits remain active during that grace period. If payment remains unsuccessful, Premium is downgraded to the free profile and the Sponsor placement is paused. Organic listing status, evidence, corrections, and verification are not affected. No late fee applies. Paid benefits can be restored after successful payment.
9. Acceptable use
You may use the site for lawful personal or internal business research. You may not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorised access, submit false or misleading information, impersonate another person or business, harvest personal data, use the directory for unsolicited outreach, or reproduce a substantial part of the directory without written permission.
10. Intellectual property
The site design, original text, compilation, branding, and other original materials belong to Reactive Dog Stays or its licensors. Provider names, logos, trademarks, photographs, and third-party materials belong to their respective owners. Limited quotation or linking does not transfer ownership.
11. Third-party links, sponsored content, and affiliate links
The site may link to provider websites and other third-party services. We do not control those sites or their privacy, availability, accuracy, or terms.
Sponsored placements are labelled "Paid Advertisement". Affiliate links, if introduced, will carry a disclosure close to the link. Commercial relationships never change care filters, evidence standards, correction handling, organic ordering, or provider verification.
12. Availability and changes
We may correct, update, suspend, or remove content or site features when reasonably necessary. We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version and changing the effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Disclaimers and liability
The site and its content are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties about completeness, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or outcomes.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Subject to that rule, Reactive Dog Stays is not liable for decisions made from directory information or for acts, omissions, services, injuries, losses, or disputes involving a listed provider or other third party.
14. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. The courts of Santarém, Portugal have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim in another court or under another applicable law.
